Who, me?

I'm a designer with over 20 years of experience, shaping, developing and delivering digital products across a wide range of sectors.

I help organisations grow and drive impact by embedding user-led & design thinking into my process. I'm passionate about using design to improve people’s lives and am constantly exploring new ways to learn, adapt, and evolve.

Currently, I work as UX & Creative Lead at Element78 Solutions, an established digital agency based in Bristol.

I work with teams to define clear product visions and translate business goals into actionable design and development strategies. My approach balances user needs, technology with commercial objectives to ensure design decisions are grounded in both insight and impact.
Research
I believe that great design starts with listening. I plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research—from user interviews to usability testing, to uncover real needs and pain points. These insights shape the direction of the products I work on.
UX Design
At the heart of everything I do is thoughtful, user-centred design. Whether, prototyping, creating user flows, or creating strong visual branding and artwork.
Product development & management
I work closely with cross-functional teams to take ideas from concept to launch. By aligning product roadmaps with organisational strategy and technical execution, all grounded with user insight.
Consulting
I’ve spent years communicating design thinking and product direction to stakeholders, clients, and cross-disciplinary teams. I’m confident presenting to all levels of a business from executives to developers and thrive in environments that value collaboration and clarity.
Branding & creative
I bring a strong creative sensibility to every project, ensuring the visual identity aligns with brand purpose and audience expectations. From building digital guidelines to crafting standout creative, I keep consistency and originality in focus.
Mentoring & leading
I’ve led design and technical teams, mentored studio members, and helped shape design culture across organisations. I focus on building confidence, encouraging critical thinking, and fostering an environment where creativity and collaboration thrive.

YOUNGMINDS
I've collaborated with YoungMinds for over five years, leading UX and design across a major transformation of their digital platform. Working closely with their team and young users and their parents, I helped shape a more accessible, emotionally supportive, and user-friendly experience. The result is a trusted platform that continues to evolve and support the mental health needs of young people across the UK.

Blueprint
From concept to final product. I designed a comprehensive agency design system to address recurring challenges in development and delivery—both internally and for our clients. The system provides a solid foundation of reusable components, patterns, and modules, enabling faster build times, greater consistency, and a more scalable approach to digital delivery. This strategic foundation has helped reposition the agency’s product offering while improving the overall quality and efficiency of digital outputs.

Girlguiding
Leading UX research project and design for the redevelopment of their main eccommerce website. I conducted interviews and user testing with three key user groups, to understand their distinct needs and challenges. These insights informed the creation of tailored experiences for each group, all delivered through a single, cohesive platform. The result is a more efficient, user-friendly site that better supports Girlguiding’s diverse and dedicated community.

SEFE Energy
I led the UX and design for a newly developed Help & support centre, aimed at reducing support demand and improving customer self-service. During the discovery phase, I worked closely with stakeholders to analyse historical customer service data, identifying the most common pain points and queries. This informed a clear content strategy and structure, allowing us to create focused help topics that directly addressed real user needs. The result was a more efficient, accessible support experience aligned with both user expectations and business goals.

Soil Association
Over the past 10 years, I’ve provided ongoing UX and design consultancy to the Soil Association, supporting a wide range of digital initiatives across their organisation. From campaign sites to core platform improvements, my work has focused on making their content more accessible, their journeys more intuitive, and their impact more visible. This long-term collaboration has helped the Soil Association evolve its digital presence while staying true to its mission and values.

Zurich
At Zurich, I was responsible for translating their refreshed brand into a flexible, digital-first design system suitable for web applications. Other projects include prototyping user journeys and interfaces for a new member portal aimed at insurance brokers, focusing on usability, clarity, and brand consistency. The work helped bring their updated visual identity to life while supporting a more streamlined and engaging experience for their broker network.

Work in Progress UX - A social media project

I have never been a social media guy, but back in the first lockdown (after completing netflix) I was looking for something to do that combined a few of my passions (design, drawing and mentoring). I started an instagram account about UX & design, sharing tips and experiences mainly aimed at aspiring designers.
